A bas-relief of this kind was meant for display on a desk or shelf. It suits collectors of Soviet political memorabilia and anyone building a themed display about the late Soviet period, including history enthusiasts who like unusual materials from that era. Collectors of Lenin souvenirs often look for pieces that can stand on a table or shelf, and a plexiglass relief is lighter than the plaster or metal busts that were also common.
