Gold highlights are applied by hand to the fins and scales. The base carries the Dulevo factory mark and the year 1957, so the date is stamped on the piece itself.

Item Details

Type: Porcelain fish figurine (carp)

Factory: Dulevo porcelain factory

Date: 1957

Finish: Iridescent luster glaze with hand-applied gold highlights

Marks: Blue Dulevo logo with the letters DZ, the year 57, and the mark 1C (first quality)

Country of Manufacture: USSR

Condition

Used, in good vintage condition. Lusterware of this period is valued for the way the surface changes color in different light. A dated and fully marked figurine like this one is easy to identify, which is helpful for anyone building a collection of Soviet porcelain animals. Because the factory mark, the year and the quality grade are all on the base, the figure can be checked against reference marks used by Dulevo, which collectors often do before adding a piece to a collection.

Shipping

Carefully packed and shipped worldwide from Ukraine with a tracking number.
