Pins such as this were part of the wider culture of commemorative badges. They suit collectors of Lenin items and Soviet propaganda who like compact, easily stored pieces. The name Iskra means spark, and the title is often explained by the idea that a spark could start a fire. The badge puts that historic newspaper title into pin form, with the Lenin and communist propaganda theme described in the source. A piece like this fits well in a display of Soviet political memorabilia next to books, posters and other party-themed badges.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Soviet Vintage Store","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":67681930772629,"sku":"EBAY-407169863545","price":0.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0808\/0500\/3413\/files\/iskra-bolshevik-newspaper-pin-soviet-lenin-badge-1.jpg?v=1791722503","url":"https:\/\/sovietvintagestore.com\/products\/iskra-bolshevik-newspaper-pin-soviet-lenin-badge","provider":"Soviet Vintage Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
