The camera has not been tested for use with film, so its working order is unknown and it should be treated as sold as-is.

About This Piece

The Kyiv name comes from the Arsenal factory in Kyiv, whose cameras were developed from the pre-war German Contax design. Jupiter lenses are common partners for these bodies. If you shoot film, collect Soviet cameras, or simply like the look of mid-century optics, the Kyiv-4 is a recognizable piece to own. Plan on a careful check of the shutter and rangefinder before loading film. We have no more details on this camera than the model, lens and color, so the photos should be your main source for judging its cosmetic condition. The Jupiter-8 is a well-known Soviet lens design, which gives this body a practical starting lens. Because it has not been tested with film, the shutter speeds, the rangefinder and the lens should be checked before you rely on it for important shots. Many buyers choose cameras of this kind to display, to learn film basics, or to repair.

Shipping

Carefully packed and shipped worldwide from Ukraine with a tracking number. Delivery to the USA typically takes 2–4 weeks.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0808/0500/3413/files/kyiv-4-film-camera-jupiter-8-lens-1.jpg?v=1791722275
