Rare Vintage Soviet Ded Moroz (Grandfather Frost) Figurine – Rivne Toy Factory, 1972

An authentic piece of Soviet Christmas history — a Ded Moroz (the Slavic Santa Claus) manufactured in October 1972 at the Rivne Toy Factory, Ukrainian SSR. Over 50 years old and a wonderful collectible.

Key Features:

• Authenticity: Original paper factory label on the base — factory logo (teddy bear), date «X-72», and original Soviet price (1-85 Rubles).
• Craftsmanship: Hand-painted face with expressive blue eyes. Body made from traditional “Vatniy” (pressed cotton wool) over a frame — unique soft yet sturdy texture typical of Soviet holiday décor.
• Design: White floor-length coat with massive collar, wooden staff in one hand, bright red fabric gift sack in the other.
• Height: ~33.5 cm (13 inches).

Condition:

• Cotton structure well-preserved and firm.
