The film compartment is very clean and the lens optics look clean and clear under normal light, without major scratches. The styrofoam box shows typical vintage wear but still holds the kit safely. The mechanisms appear to be functional and the battery compartment is intact, but the camera has not been tested with real film. It is sold as-is, for collection, display or restoration.

About This Piece

The Quarz line was the Soviet answer to the home movie boom of the 1970s and 1980s, using the 8 mm Super 8 cartridge format. A set that still has its serial-matched passport and box is more complete than most. It will appeal to film enthusiasts, collectors of Soviet cameras and anyone who likes the sculptural, utilitarian look of late Soviet design.

What's Included

Quarz 1x8S-2 movie camera with pistol grip

Meteor-8M-1 1.8/9-38 zoom lens (attached)

Original factory passport / technical manual with matching serial numbers

Original instructional brochure

Set of 4 screw-in optical filters and a rubber lens hood

Mechanical cable release

Original vintage styrofoam protective box

Shipping

Carefully packed and shipped worldwide from Ukraine with a tracking number.
