Made in the USSR in the 1970s–1980s, it is a fine example of Soviet Space Age retro-futuristic toy design, with a blue and white body, yellow booster nozzles and a yellow top antenna.

Item Details

Type: Space toy, rocket ship with cosmonaut figure

Country of Manufacture: USSR (Soviet Union)

Era: 1970s–1980s

Material: Plastic, with bakelite / celluloid details

Colors: Blue and white body, yellow nozzles and antenna, clear pinkish dome, cosmonaut in a blue spacesuit

Mechanism: Friction (inertial) motor under the body

Markings: Manufacturer's logo on the bottom, identified as the Strunki factory / Leningrad Production Association "Sputnik"

Condition

Used, in good vintage condition with normal signs of age and play. Today these toys are popular with collectors of Soviet space program memorabilia, vintage Soviet toys and retro sci-fi decor, and they make a cheerful display piece on a shelf or desk.

Shipping

Carefully packed and shipped worldwide from Ukraine with a tracking number.
