Its dated design makes it easy to identify, and it is a pleasant example of the badges that were made for the Soviet golden jubilee.

Item Details

Type: Anniversary badge pin

Dates: 1922-1972

Subject: 50 years of the USSR

Motif: Sickle and hammer

Decoration: Enamel

Country of Manufacture: USSR

Condition

Used, as shown in the photos. The 1972 jubilee was one of the largest state celebrations of its decade, and it produced a wide range of designs. This one keeps to the core symbol of the Soviet state, which makes it a good basic piece for any collection of USSR pins.

The date range printed on the badge makes it clear what it commemorates, but the source does not give the size or the type of pin back, so rely on the photographs for those details. Enamel can chip over the years, so it is worth looking at the edges of the sickle and hammer in the pictures.

Shipping

Carefully packed and shipped worldwide from Ukraine with a tracking number.
