Badges that reference Hero Cities are therefore linked to war commemoration as well as to local pride, which gives them historical weight for collectors. Aluminum was commonly used for mass-produced Soviet pins because it is light and easy to stamp. The 15k marking is a detail that can help when comparing this badge with others in the same series. For collectors of Ukrainian SSR memorabilia, a Kyiv Hero City pin is an easy way to represent the capital of the republic in a pin collection, and it can be shown beside other city and republic badges. Its aluminum body keeps it light, so it sits comfortably on a jacket or a pin board.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Soviet Vintage Store","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":67681934246037,"sku":"EBAY-407168468526","price":1.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0808\/0500\/3413\/files\/ussr-badge-kyiv-hero-city-ukrainian-ssr-enamel-pin-1.jpg?v=1791722615","url":"https:\/\/sovietvintagestore.com\/products\/ussr-badge-kyiv-hero-city-ukrainian-ssr-enamel-pin","provider":"Soviet Vintage Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
