About this piece
Two Soviet leaping deer emblems of the GAZ-21 Volga hood ornament type, cast metal, sold as-is for restoration or parts. Ships worldwide with tracking.
From the seller's notes
This is a set of two Soviet "leaping deer" figures of the type used as the GAZ-21 Volga hood ornament, the famous mascot of the iconic Soviet car. Both are original Soviet-era cast metal pieces, offered for restoration projects, spare parts or industrial-style decor.
Item Details
- Type: Car hood ornaments / emblems (mascots), set of 2
- Model Association: GAZ-21 Volga
- Material: Heavy cast metal (zamak / alloy)
- Length: Approx. 20 cm (7.9 in)
- Weight: Approx. 0.395 kg (0.87 lb) for both figures combined
- Origin: Made in the USSR
Condition
For parts or not working. Both items are sold as-is for restoration or spare parts use and show significant signs of age, wear and damage. Ornament #1 (with antlers): classic leaping pose; the antlers are broken and incomplete, a hole has been drilled in the body (likely for a custom mounting), and the surface has strong patina, pitting and oxidation. Ornament #2 (smooth chrome surface): significant loss of chrome plating, spot damage, scratches and visible surface rust. Please review all photos carefully.
About This Piece
The leaping deer is one of the most recognizable symbols of Soviet automotive design and is closely linked with the GAZ-21 Volga. These are genuine vintage metal parts, not modern plastic reproductions, which makes them useful donor pieces for restorers and re-chrome plating specialists, or display pieces for fans of Soviet car history.
What's Included
- 2 leaping deer hood ornaments (as described)
