About this piece

GAZ-53 instrument cluster from a Soviet GAZ-52 / GAZ-53 truck: speedometer, temperature, oil, fuel and ammeter gauges. Ships worldwide from Ukraine.

From the seller's notes

This GAZ-53 instrument cluster is an authentic, original vintage gauge panel from a classic Soviet GAZ-52 / GAZ-53 truck. A central speedometer with odometer is surrounded by water temperature, oil pressure, fuel level and ammeter gauges on a heavy-duty metal base panel. It is an iconic piece of Soviet automotive history for truck restoration projects, vintage vehicle collectors or industrial garage decor.

Condition

Authentic vintage condition with natural patina, minor wear and signs of age. The operational status of the speedometer and of each individual gauge is unknown: the panel has not been tested and is sold strictly as-is, for parts, restoration or display. The rear side retains the original gauge housings and bulb sockets, making it a good candidate for a complete restoration or as a source of spare parts. Please review the photos to inspect the front and the rear connections.

About This Piece

The GAZ-52 and GAZ-53 were among the most common trucks in the Soviet Union, working on collective farms, construction sites and city streets for decades. Their simple, legible dashboards are instantly recognizable to anyone who grew up in the USSR. An original instrument cluster is a useful part for restorers and also makes a strong wall piece in a garage, workshop or Soviet-themed interior.
