From the seller's notes
This vintage Soviet badge celebrates 70 years of the Great October Revolution, 1917-1987, and is offered as a USSR commemorative pin. The wording "Great October Revolution" was the standard Soviet name for the events of 1917, so the badge is a good example of official anniversary labeling.

About This Piece
By 1987 the anniversary came during a period of rapid change in the USSR, which makes badges from that year a point of interest for collectors of late Soviet material. They were produced in many designs, so assembling a set of 70th anniversary pins is a rewarding small collecting project. This piece would fit into such a set or stand on its own.
The source supplies only the title, so the photos are the reference for the colors, the construction and the reverse of the pin. Compared with the plain 70 years badges, this one uses the full Soviet wording, Great October Revolution, which makes it a handy example for anyone studying the official language of Soviet anniversaries.
