About This Piece
Anniversary porcelain was a common way for the Soviet Union to mark state occasions, and the 60th anniversary of the October Revolution in 1977 was an important one. The design brings together the open book, the Aurora, the laurel branch in Guards ribbon colors and the Lenin slogan, which makes this plate appealing to collectors of Soviet propaganda items, commemorative porcelain and Cold War history.
