This Soviet visor cap is a peaked military hat in the dark olive-grey and cornflower blue (vasilyok) colors historically used by the KGB and the MVD (Internal Affairs / Militia) during the Cold War. It is marked size 57, roughly a medium, and dates to the 1970s-1980s. The Red Star cockade with hammer and sickle sits at the front above a black plastic visor.

Condition
Pre-owned, in very good vintage condition. The fabric is well preserved, the colors are bright and the shape of the cap is solid. There are no major rips or stains. Please refer to the photos for the exact condition of the crown, band, visor and lining.

Cornflower blue was the distinctive color that set the KGB and MVD headwear apart from the plainer olive caps of the regular army, so this combination is instantly recognizable to collectors of Soviet uniforms. How to return an item

- I will confirm the return and reply with instructions. Items sent back without contacting me first cannot be accepted.
- The item must be returned in the same condition you received it, with all parts, accessories and original packaging that came with it.
- Return shipping is paid by the buyer. Please use a tracked shipping service and pack the item carefully — vintage pieces are fragile, and I can't refund items damaged on the way back.
