This is a complete vintage Soviet movie camera set, the Quarz-5 (Кварц-5) for 2x8mm Super film, made in the USSR by the Zenit (KMZ) factory in the 1970s. It was one of the most advanced amateur cameras of its era in the Soviet Union, and it is fitted with the Meteor-2-4 zoom lens.

Very good vintage condition. The body shows minimal signs of use and the lens appears clear. The spring-wind mechanism is functional and the zoom operates smoothly. About This Piece
Home cine cameras let Soviet amateurs shoot family films on 8mm stock, and the Quarz line from KMZ was known for reliability. A set that keeps its box, case, filters and matching-number manual is far more complete than a bare body, which collectors of movie cameras appreciate. It is a strong display piece for anyone interested in the history of Soviet film equipment.
