From the seller's notes

This original Soviet Navy uniform flannel shirt, known as a hollandka (flanelka), was standard issue for sailors of the USSR Navy (VMF). Made of heavy navy blue flannel, it comes with the classic detachable blue sailor collar with three white stripes. About This Piece

The three white stripes on the sailor collar are traditionally said to represent three historic victories of the Russian fleet. The Northern Fleet was one of the most powerful naval forces of the Soviet Union, operating in the harsh conditions of the Arctic. With its fleet shoulder boards, branch patch and badges, this Soviet navy uniform shirt is a complete, characterful piece for collectors of Cold War era militaria and naval history, and it also works well for historical reenactment.
