About This Piece
Painted porcelain souvenirs like this were sold as folk-style keepsakes in the Soviet era. The floral design is typical of folk decoration, and the hanging chain makes it easy to show off. It is a small, colorful addition to a shelf or wall of Soviet souvenirs and porcelain pieces. It can also be hung on a Christmas tree or placed in a display case with other painted porcelain and folk souvenirs. Remember that the pipe is for decoration only, so it is best kept away from heat and handled gently by its chain.
