This Soviet Snegurochka figurine is a large Snow Maiden, traditionally placed under the Christmas tree alongside Ded Moroz (Father Frost). It is a classic example of the vatnaya igrushka, or cotton wool toy, technique widely used in the USSR. The figure has a hand-painted face with blue eyes and a long white winter coat with a matching hat.

Condition
Good vintage condition for its age, which is over 50 years. There is some minor natural yellowing of the cotton and small age spots (foxing). There is no major structural damage, and the face paint is well preserved. Please refer to the photos for a detailed look.
About This Piece
Snegurochka is Ded Moroz's granddaughter in Russian and Ukrainian New Year tradition, and cotton figures like this were hung on or set under Soviet trees. The label that is still attached helps identify the factory and period. It is a good addition to a collection of vintage Christmas ornaments, Soviet-era toys or Eastern European folk decor.

How to return an item

- I will confirm the return and reply with instructions. Items sent back without contacting me first cannot be accepted.
- The item must be returned in the same condition you received it, with all parts, accessories and original packaging that came with it.
- Return shipping is paid by the buyer. Please use a tracked shipping service and pack the item carefully — vintage pieces are fragile, and I can't refund items damaged on the way back.
