This Soviet space rocket night light, also known as Raketa or Vostok, is a stylized miniature of the Conquerors of Space monument in Moscow. A rocket trail of translucent orange-red plexiglass rises above a black plastic base and glows warmly when switched on. It was produced in the USSR in the 1960s and 1970s and is in working order.

Used, fully functional, as shown in the photos with the light on. The plexiglass is intact with no major cracks, and there may be minor scratches or abrasions from age. The lamp uses a Soviet-era plug on 220 V, so buyers in the USA and Canada will need a plug adapter or voltage converter.
About This Piece
The Conquerors of Space monument in Moscow honors the Soviet space program and the era of Yuri Gagarin, and souvenir lamps based on it were a familiar space-age decoration in Soviet homes. The mid-century lines of the base and the glowing rocket trail suit retro interiors. Collectors of Soviet space memorabilia often look for this lamp as a display piece.
