About This Piece
The title Udarnik, roughly "shock worker", was given in the USSR to workers recognized for outstanding output, and the Udarnik of Communist Labor title belongs to the later phase of that labor movement. Badges of this kind were worn on clothing and are collected today for their symbolism and design. It makes a compact addition to a collection of Soviet pins and badges. Collectors often group badges by theme, and the Lenin and Udarnik themes are among the best known.
