From the seller's notes
This vintage USSR badge celebrates 60 years of the Great October Revolution in 1977 and is styled as a ribbon pin. The ribbon form is a little different from the usual solid metal badge, so it stands out in a collection of Soviet anniversary items.

About This Piece
Ribbon-style pins echoed the look of Soviet awards, and they were worn on clothing at official events and on holidays such as the revolution anniversary in November. The 1977 date identifies the piece exactly. Collectors of Soviet pins will like it for its form as well as its jubilee subject.
The source gives the year and the ribbon design but not the dimensions or the metal, so please check the photographs. A ribbon pin has a few more parts than a solid badge, so it is worth looking at how the ribbon and the pin back are attached in the pictures.
Its relatively unusual form makes it a good choice if you already own several of the standard solid metal 1977 badges.
