About this piece
Vintage Soviet salt and pepper shakers: 4 kitschy sets, 9 pieces, with dancing cows, a Gzhel-style fruit set and an elephant. Ships worldwide from Ukraine.
From the seller's notes
This lot of vintage Soviet salt and pepper shakers brings together four different sets from the USSR era, nine pieces in total including the stands and containers. The colorful, kitschy designs range from porcelain figures to a hand-painted wooden shaker, making it a ready-made collection for fans of Soviet tableware and folk art.

Condition
Good vintage condition; these pieces have clearly been used. There are minor paint abrasions, especially on the wooden pepper shaker, plus typical manufacturing flaws of mass-produced Soviet items such as glaze loss and small firing marks. The shakers have cork or plastic stoppers, and their condition may vary. Please examine all photos carefully, as they are an important part of the condition description.
About This Piece
Novelty salt and pepper shakers were a cheerful part of the Soviet kitchen, and many drew on folk motifs and fairytale characters. This lot mixes several styles in one go: whimsical animal figures, a painted Gzhel-style fruit set and a traditional lacquered wooden piece. It is a fun conversation starter for a dinner table or display shelf and a quick way to expand a collection of Soviet kitchenware.
