About This Piece

Hatchet-style irons are prized for their heat retention on heavy soldering jobs such as radiators, thick wires, sheet metal and vintage electronics restoration. The original paper passport, with technical diagrams, quality control (OTK) stamps, the production date and the original Soviet price of 7 rubles, makes this a well-documented piece of late Soviet industrial history. It suits collectors of Soviet-era tools as well as anyone who wants a sturdy, old-school iron for the workbench.
