From the seller's notes

This piece of Soviet militaria is a handmade wooden model of the Yak-3 fighter aircraft, hand-carved and hand-painted in Soviet-era style and mounted on its dark wooden display stand. Finished in green military camouflage with red star insignias on the wings and tail, it makes a striking desk or shelf display for aviation and WWII-era collectors. Please note that the propeller is broken and the model is sold as-is.

Condition

Used, in vintage condition, sold as-is for restoration, parts or display in its current state. The propeller is damaged: one of the blades is broken off or missing, as shown in the close-up photos, so it will need repair for a complete propeller look. The model also shows signs of age, including minor paint scuffs, light surface wear and dust from storage. The hand-painted stars and details have a pleasant aged patina. Please review all photos to judge the condition and measurements.

About This Piece

The Yak-3 was a Soviet single-engine fighter of the Second World War, designed by the Yakovlev bureau and known for being light and agile. Handmade models like this one were crafted by individual makers rather than produced in a factory, so each one is unique. A good fit for collections of Soviet militaria, Red Army collectibles and aviation memorabilia.
