About This Piece
Devices like this were popular with students and crossword fans before smartphones made spelling help a built-in feature. The phonetic correction finds the right word even when it is typed as it sounds, and the box notes that it is suited to people with dyslexia. A boxed example with its manual is a neat find for collectors of retro tech. It is a useful reminder of how much one small gadget once did.
