From the seller's notes

This NOS FED 5B is a Soviet 35mm rangefinder camera that has stayed sealed in its original factory plastic bag since it left the factory. About This Piece

The FED 5B belongs to the long-running FED family from Kharkiv, and it is a fully mechanical design that needs no batteries. Finding a complete set that was never unpacked is unusual, which is why this kind of kit interests both camera collectors and photographers who prefer a new body. Keep it sealed as a time capsule, or open it to shoot film with a classic Soviet rangefinder.

  1. Most Soviet electronics run on 220V — use a step-down converter in the US.
  2. Power up slowly and check before regular use; vintage parts may need service.
  3. Keep dry and away from dust; store with lens and battery covers on.
  4. Remove batteries before long-term storage.
