About This Piece
Agitation posters were a key tool of Soviet mass communication, calling citizens to meet plans at the factory and in the fields. Agricultural posters like this one paired bright, optimistic imagery with rhymed verse urging collective farmers to prepare for the sowing and harvest. Original printed posters are prized by collectors of Soviet graphic design and political memorabilia.
