This Soviet pin commemorates the 70th anniversary of the October Revolution, with the dates 1917-1987 and a hammer in the design. It was made in the late years of the USSR, a few years before the state ended. Five photos show the front and back.

About This Piece
The 70th anniversary in 1987 was one of the last big revolution jubilees celebrated in the USSR, which makes pins from that year a marker of the final period of the Soviet state. Badges of this kind were worn at events and on jackets. They are inexpensive to collect and easy to compare against the 1967 and 1977 issues. Because 1987 fell in the period of glasnost and perestroika, the jubilee carried particular weight in public life. This pin is part of that moment. It can be displayed together with pins for 1967 and 1977, so the collector sees how the style of the badges changed from one anniversary to the next. Keep it dry and out of direct sun.

How to return an item

- I will confirm the return and reply with instructions. Items sent back without contacting me first cannot be accepted.
- The item must be returned in the same condition you received it, with all parts, accessories and original packaging that came with it.
- Return shipping is paid by the buyer. Please use a tracked shipping service and pack the item carefully — vintage pieces are fragile, and I can't refund items damaged on the way back.

Once I receive and inspect the returned item, I will let you know whether the refund is approved. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 10 business days. Your bank or card company may need extra time to post the refund. The original shipping was free, so there is nothing to deduct for it; import duties or taxes you paid in your country are not refundable by me.
