About This Piece

Parade uniforms were worn by Soviet officers on formal occasions, and the green wool, gold boards and red piping were designed to stand out on parade grounds. The black collar tabs with crossed wrenches identify the Engineer Troops, while the three stars show the rank of colonel. Two different factory labels, from Lviv and Vitebsk, make this set interesting to collectors who study Soviet uniform production.
