Condition

Used and sold as-is. The brown Bakelite case has noticeable structural cracks on the top rim, which affect its visual integrity (see the close-up photos). It has the original vintage cord and plug. The lamp is built for 220 V with a European plug, so buyers in the US and Canada will need a step-up transformer or a plug adapter.

About This Piece

Souvenir lamps like this one were sold as keepsakes of Soviet cities, and the medallions show landmarks of Poltava. Bakelite lamps from this era are known to crack with age. This one suits a collector of Soviet memorabilia or someone looking for a restoration project.
