About This Piece

Wired “radio point” speakers were a central element of the Soviet home, bringing broadcasts into nearly every apartment over a dedicated line. Unlike plain models, this Baltika combines that function with socialist classicism, turning a household device into a piece of architectural art. It is a striking item for collectors of Soviet industrial design, radio history and Art Deco decor, on a shelf or in a study.
