About This Piece
Kolkiy plastik was a classic material for mass-produced Soviet souvenirs and decorative figures in the mid-20th century, and its distinctive matte look is popular with collectors of Soviet memorabilia. The image of Lenin as a schoolboy was a standard theme in Soviet education and art, which makes this figurine a recognizable piece of political and cultural history for a shelf or display case. At about 19 cm tall, the figurine is compact enough to fit on a bookshelf or desk beside other Soviet books, badges and souvenirs.
