About this piece
Vintage Soviet wall plaque with Lenin bas-relief profile, bronze-tone finish, circa 1970s-1980s. Ships worldwide from Ukraine with tracking.
From the seller's notes
This Soviet Lenin plaque is a vintage wall-hanging bas-relief featuring the left-facing profile of Vladimir Lenin, the founder of the Soviet state. It is dated to circa the 1970s-1980s and is a classic example of Soviet agitprop (agitation and propaganda) art, commonly found in schools, government offices and "Red Corners" across the USSR.

Condition
Very good vintage condition. The relief is sharp and well preserved, with minor age-related scuffs on the surface and the silver-tone rim. About This Piece
The plaque represents the Socialist Realism style that dominated Soviet art, and pieces like it hung in public and educational spaces throughout the USSR. It is a fitting addition for collectors of Cold War memorabilia and Soviet history, or for those looking for unique communist-era decor. At roughly 15-18 cm across, it is easy to hang or display on a shelf.
