This Soviet officer map case, commonly called a field tablet, is a brown document bag of the type issued to officers of the Soviet Army in the Cold War era. It has a two-section design with celluloid windows for maps and documents on one side and space for stationery, rulers and pencils on the other. It is a useful piece for militaria collectors and reenactors.

Condition
Vintage, used military item with a worn field patina. Expect scuffs, natural aging of the material and some oxidation on the metal hardware, as seen in the photos. The celluloid map covers have aged and have a yellowed look. All stitching appears intact. Please review all photos carefully, as they are the best representation of the condition. Sold as-is.

Field tablets like this one were standard officer gear and were built to withstand harsh field conditions. Today they are collected as militaria and used by Cold War reenactors, and some buyers use them as rugged shoulder bags or as props for film and theater productions.

How to return an item
- Email me at vladimirchuprina1971@gmail.com or message me on WhatsApp (+380 50 258 5695) within 30 days of delivery. Please include your order number and the reason for the return.
- I will confirm the return and reply with instructions. Items sent back without contacting me first cannot be accepted.
- The item must be returned in the same condition you received it, with all parts, accessories and original packaging that came with it.
- Return shipping is paid by the buyer. Please use a tracked shipping service and pack the item carefully — vintage pieces are fragile, and I can't refund items damaged on the way back.

Your bank or card company may need extra time to post the refund. The original shipping was free, so there is nothing to deduct for it; import duties or taxes you paid in your country are not refundable by me.
