About this piece
Heavy Soviet AMT-69 wall payphone with token slot, side latch and emergency plate, 11 kg armored steel, rotary dial, sold as-is. Ships worldwide.
From the seller's notes
This Soviet payphone is an AMT-69 wall-mounted token phone, a super-heavy unit of about 11 kg (24.2 lb) with an armored metal casing, designed in 1969 and made in the USSR. Unlike the common light-blue street models, it has a dark gray-brown industrial primer under the factory finish, a locking side latch, a token slot marked «ЖЕТОН» and a metal emergency plate. It is sold as a historical artifact or industrial decor piece.

About This Piece
The AMT-69 is a classic of Soviet street furniture, normally painted light blue or gray and found in public places. The token slot, side latch and the dark primer on this unit suggest use in a state factory, an administrative building or other closed facility, though its exact history is not documented. The heavy case and worn industrial finish give it a strong Cold War and brutalist character, which suits museum-style displays, a loft or any collection of Soviet telephones.
