This Soviet Quarz-2x8S-1M is an 8mm movie camera produced by the KMZ factory, the same makers who built Zenit cameras. It is spring-wound, so the motor does not need batteries, and it has a reflex viewfinder for viewing through the lens. The set comes with the Meteor-8M zoom, a pistol grip, filters and the original leather case.

Condition
Used, in excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of use. The motor winds and runs smoothly at all speeds, and the trigger and shutter are functional. The lens glass appears clean and clear, and the additional lens attachments are in good shape. See the photos for more detail.
About This Piece
KMZ in Krasnogorsk is better known for Zenit still cameras, but it also made a series of Soviet 8mm movie cameras for amateur filmmakers. The single-frame setting lets the camera be used for simple stop-motion animation. A complete outfit with the case, grip and filters is a good find for people who want to shoot or display home-movie equipment.

- The item must be returned in the same condition you received it, with all parts, accessories and original packaging that came with it.
- Return shipping is paid by the buyer. Please use a tracked shipping service and pack the item carefully — vintage pieces are fragile, and I can't refund items damaged on the way back.
