From the seller's notes
This Soviet record player is a portable Yunost 301 electrophone from the USSR, dating to the 1970s. It is a vintage phonograph that works from 220 and 127 volt mains power, and it is offered as a restoration project or a source of parts. Its condition is shown in the photos and the video.
Item Details
- Type: Portable record player (electrophone)
- Model: Yunost 301
- Era: 1970s
- Power: 220 V and 127 V
- Country of Manufacture: USSR
- Condition Status: For parts or not working
Condition
Sold for parts or as not working. The unit has signs of wear and scratches, and its overall appearance is shown in the photos and video. Its working order has not been confirmed, so please treat it as a restoration project, a display piece or a donor unit for another Yunost. Because it is not described as working, it should not be plugged in before someone familiar with vintage electrical equipment has checked it.
About This Piece
Portable record players such as the Yunost line were common in Soviet homes, where they were used to play vinyl records at home, at the dacha or at gatherings. Collectors of Soviet audio equipment often look for these electrophones to restore, and even a non-working example can make an interesting retro shelf piece or a source of original components for a repair. Details of the interior and the mechanism are not described, so please look through the photos and the video before deciding.
