About This Piece
Party congresses were the most important political events in the Soviet calendar, and souvenir boxes like this one were a typical commemorative item of the era, often used for sweets or tea. The red-and-gold design with Kremlin architecture is classic Soviet political imagery. It is an attractive original piece for collectors of Soviet memorabilia and communist party history, and it is still usable for storing small items.
