This Soviet transistor radio is an Alpinist 418, a portable radio in a black plastic case. The front grille shows the logo of the 1980 Moscow Olympics, which marks it as a commemorative edition. It receives longwave and mediumwave bands.

Condition
Used, in authentic vintage condition. All the original knobs and the handle are present, and the inside appears to be original. There are minor signs of wear on the exterior, as shown in the photos. The seller does not state that the radio has been tested, so please treat its working order as unconfirmed.

The Alpinist 418 was a popular Soviet radio in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The Olympic logo ties this example to the 1980 Games in Moscow, which makes it of interest to Olympic memorabilia collectors as well as radio fans. How to return an item

- I will confirm the return and reply with instructions. Items sent back without contacting me first cannot be accepted.
- The item must be returned in the same condition you received it, with all parts, accessories and original packaging that came with it.
- Return shipping is paid by the buyer. Please use a tracked shipping service and pack the item carefully — vintage pieces are fragile, and I can't refund items damaged on the way back.
