About This Piece
The slogan is a typical expression of Soviet optimism about technology, flight and progress in the 1960s, the decade in which the USSR also pushed ahead in space. Pairing it with an aircraft on a jubilee badge ties the 50 years since the revolution to those achievements. Collectors of aviation memorabilia and Soviet pins alike will find a use for this lightweight piece.
The source gives the slogan, the year and the aluminum material, but no measurements, so use the photographs to judge the size and the sharpness of the stamping. Aluminum pins of this period are light and easy to damage, and well-preserved examples with clear lettering are the most satisfying to collect.
