About This Piece
The October Revolution of 1917 was the founding event of the Soviet state, and its jubilees were marked with special badges, medals and posters. A pin issued for the fiftieth anniversary belongs to the 1967 celebrations. Collectors enjoy these pins because each anniversary produced its own designs, so they can be sorted by year and theme. This one is easy to display in a shadow box or to add to an existing set of Soviet pins. Because the item is small, it can be stored flat in a coin or badge album, pinned to a display board, or kept with other revolution-anniversary issues from different decades. Photographs are the best guide to the design, so please compare the pictures with your reference books before ordering.
