From the seller's notes

This Vega-11U enlarger lens (ВЕГА-11У) is a classic Soviet 50mm f/2.8 lens with an M39 screw mount, manufactured in the USSR in 1989. Known for its excellent sharpness, high contrast and quality optical design, it was originally made for photo enlarging. Today it is sought after by vintage gear enthusiasts and digital photographers who adapt it for creative macro photography.

Condition

Good vintage condition with minor signs of prior use on the barrel. The glass elements are intact, with a visible purple / blue anti-reflection coating. As with any vintage lens of this age, minor internal dust or faint cleaning marks may be present, which do not affect performance. The aperture ring turns smoothly, and the blades open and close correctly. Please refer to the high-resolution photos.

About This Piece

As an enlarger lens, the Vega-11U has no internal focusing mechanism. To use it on modern DSLR or mirrorless cameras (Sony, Canon, Fujifilm, Micro Four Thirds), you will need a focusing helicoid or a macro bellows extension adapter. Set up this way, it becomes a sharp, affordable macro lens and a nice piece of Soviet optics history.
