About This Piece
The motivational poem at the bottom says that fields and construction sites are waiting for the “valor of the army and fleet” to multiply through “valiant labor”. Posters like this were made to remind demobilized soldiers and sailors that their next duty was on the factory floor and the building site. The scene of an officer framed by smokestacks and cranes captures the optimistic, industrial imagery that defined late Soviet visual propaganda.
With its large format and strong graphic composition, this vintage Soviet propaganda poster works as a statement piece for a study, office or loft, and as an authentic addition to a collection of Soviet military and political graphics. Framing behind glass will help protect the edges.
