About this piece

Vintage payphone: blue Ukrtelecom Telecard-121 street phone made in Ukraine in July 2005, sold as-is for display or props. Ships worldwide.

From the seller's notes

This vintage payphone is a blue Ukrtelecom “Telecard-121” (Телекарт-121) street phone, made in Ukraine in July 2005. It is a post-Soviet piece rather than a USSR item, and it was widely used across Ukraine in the 2000s with prepaid smartcards. It still has its original black armored handset, its metal mounting bracket and its Ukrainian instructions.

About This Piece

Street payphones were a daily sight in Ukraine before mobile phones became universal, and the blue Ukrtelecom cabinets are a familiar piece of street nostalgia from the first years after the Soviet era. This one makes a distinctive prop or a talking point in a studio, bar or game room, and it can also serve as a restoration project for someone who enjoys telecom hardware.
