About this piece
Zenit-C Soviet 35mm SLR camera with Industar-50 3.5/50 lens and original leather case, shutter fires, mirror flips. Ships worldwide from Ukraine.
From the seller's notes
The Zenit-C is a Soviet 35mm SLR camera from KMZ, based on the Zorki-S rangefinder body converted into a single-lens reflex. It is distinctive for its bottom-loading design and compact, solid metal body. This unit has an Industar-50 3.5/50 lens and its original brown leather case with the Zenit name embossed.

Condition
Good vintage condition for its age, with some natural wear on the body and leatherette; see photos. The shutter fires, the film advance mechanism works and the mirror flips as it should. The lens appears clear, but like most vintage lenses it may have some internal dust or light cleaning marks. The case is in good structural condition. Sold as-is for collection, display or restoration; the accuracy of shutter speeds and light-tightness have not been professionally tested.
About This Piece
The early Zenit cameras grew out of the Zorki line, so they share a compact, all-metal feel with their rangefinder relatives. Collectors often look for the first Zenit SLRs because they began a camera family that lasted for decades in the USSR. Having the original case adds to the set. Photos are the best guide to the wear on the leatherette and the case.
