About This Piece
The Avrora 215 was made by LOMO, the Leningrad optical and mechanical association, and was popular with home filmmakers in the late 1970s and 1980s. It is known for a sturdy build and a zoom lens that was advanced for an amateur camera of its time. A complete outfit with the case, manual and cassettes makes a good shelf piece for collectors of Soviet movie cameras and vintage cine equipment.
