About this piece

Lubitel 166B Soviet TLR camera by LOMO with T-22 75mm f/4.5 lens, case and lens cap. Export edition for 120 film. Ships worldwide from Ukraine.

From the seller's notes

The Lubitel 166B is a Soviet twin-lens reflex camera made by LOMO in Leningrad, shooting 6x6 cm frames on 120 roll film. This example is the export edition, with the name "LUBITEL 166B" written in Latin letters, and it comes with its original black case, strap and lens cap. Fully mechanical and battery-free, it is a popular way to start with medium-format film photography.

As with any vintage camera, a professional cleaning, lubrication and adjustment (CLA) is recommended before regular use. See photos for details.

About This Piece

The Lubitel line was a Soviet answer to the twin-lens reflex format, built to bring 6x6 photography to a broad audience. Looking down into the waist-level finder and composing on the ground glass is a very different experience from a modern camera, which is why the Lubitel 166B remains a favorite with film shooters and collectors of Soviet cameras. The Latin lettering on this export version adds to its appeal.
