About This Piece
Moscow hosted the 1980 Summer Olympics, and gymnastics was among the Games' best-known sports. Pins for individual disciplines were collected and traded by visitors and locals, and today they remain a cheap and compact way to build a themed Olympic collection. Like the other sport pins from the same Games, this badge is small and easy to store or frame. The gymnast figure gives it a clear subject, which helps when arranging pins by sport in a display case or on a collector's board. The description does not give a size or a maker, so please use the five photos to judge the proportions and the finish. Looking at both sides of the pin will show the type of fastening and the state of the enamel.
