About this piece

New old stock Soviet officer parade belt (kushak) in gold silk brocade with a Hammer and Sickle star buckle, never worn. Ships worldwide from Ukraine.

From the seller's notes

This Soviet officer parade belt, known as a kushak (Кушак), is a ceremonial belt that was a required part of the parade uniform for officers of the Soviet Army. It is new old stock, never worn and unissued military surplus, woven from gold-toned silk brocade with a gold-colored buckle bearing the Soviet emblem. A clean, bright piece for collectors of Soviet military uniforms and Cold War militaria.

About This Piece

The kushak was a dress item rather than field gear: Soviet officers wore this kind of brocade belt with the parade uniform on ceremonial occasions. Because it was kept for parades and often stored unused, unissued examples like this one can still be found with their original brightness. It works well for uniform restoration, historical reenactment or display alongside other Soviet Army items, where the star-and-wreath buckle is the first thing the eye catches.
