This is a Soviet award badge "Excellent Worker of Socialist Competition of the Ministry of Communications of the USSR" (Отличник социалистического соревнования Минсвязи СССР). The badge shows a red banner with a radio mast and star, a blue envelope with the hammer and sickle, lightning bolts for telegraph and radio, and the ribbon "МИНСВЯЗИ СССР" over a laurel wreath.

Condition
Used, with honest age wear: enamel chips on the left edge near the mast and small marks on the banner, a dark spot on the left side, wear of the gilding on the raised parts, and patina with spots on the reverse. Please look at all photos carefully, they are part of the description.

Numbered screw-back badges of Soviet ministries from the late 1940s and 1950s are sought after by collectors of Soviet phaleristics and of communications history. How to return an item

- I will confirm the return and reply with instructions. Items sent back without contacting me first cannot be accepted.
- The item must be returned in the same condition you received it, with all parts, accessories and original packaging that came with it.
- Return shipping is paid by the buyer. Please use a tracked shipping service and pack the item carefully — vintage pieces are fragile, and I can't refund items damaged on the way back.
